Election Day... the morning

Election Day: Tuesday, November 4, 2008,

The day dawned to a blanket of snow in Idaho's Wood River Valley.
My first thought: "Is this a good omen?"

We got the family together and headed to the polls, dropping Owen off at daycare first. We arrived there a minute or two after they had opened, and had difficulty finding a place to park (a very rare occurrence in a town of less than 6,000 people). There was a small line coming out of the old High School gym, which we quickly joined. 10 minutes later we were out, proudly displaying our I Voted stickers. Quick, painless and friendly (we saw lots of our neighbors as we were signing in).

Brian shows off his I Voted sticker as we wait in traffic to leave the car park.

Our drive to work... hopefully as we take in this view tomorrow morning it will be with a President Obama preparing to run our country.
