A Playdate with Pete

Yesterday, Pete and his mum, Kate, came over for Owen's first playdate.

The two of them had a lovely time playing at our house, they would each pick up this one toy and play with it until the other one took it away and played with it, then the other one would take it away and play with it... and so it went on!

Owen and Pete met when they were just a couple months old at Owen's first mommy and me group. Pretty much everyweek after that first meeting, until Owen was 6 months old, they would see each other at the playgroup. And, as they got old enough, they started to play together. Then Owen started at the same daycare as Pete. Carey, the daycare nanny, said that during his first few days at daycare Owen would cry and be quite upset, until Pete arrived, then he would be happy and smiley and play all day with Pete.

So, Pete is clearly one of Owen's favorite little people, and he will miss him terribly when he has to go away for a couple months this winter.
