My First Birthday

We celebrated Owen's First Birthday Sunday, March 8, with a party for all his baby friends. We had about 15 little ones running around, and everyone seemed to have a lovely time. Owen even appeared to have some inkling as to what was going on. He was very independent and was walking all over the house playing with babies and toys, hardly paying any attention to mummy and daddy. I spent most of the weekend baking for the party - sadly my scones and hot cross buns were not a huge success, the carrot cake cupcakes turned out well though. Thankfully, mum flew in from Florida to help us out following our week from hell, and was able to whip the place into shape for us. Brian did a great job on the decorations too.
